Had a ball yesterday.

An 80 year old man and his wife ask me to come over and help them downsize as they wanted to move to a smaller house. What a great fun couple they were. We went through 4 floors of stuff and I spent about a grand. His only complaint was that I didn't even put a dent in it. Even had his big strapping grandson haul a very big primitive cabinet up from the basement and load it in my van for me.

The best part, when were sitting down to a cup of coffee, was when he said to me "I don't know what your politics are, but I'm a democrat". I smiled and said me too. He then went on to talk about the Koch brothers and the new healthcare law.

retired 12 years ago and then worked part time in the big antique gallery for 2 years. Quit, got my own booth and the rest is history. My business plan has been to know the market and sell reasonably. I saw what people are buying and what they would pay for an item and try to use that when buying and selling and it is working. I think there must be 20 or 30 "dealers" for every collector, so I tend to sell to dealers. They are the big buyers. I am having a great time, today. Without my retirement and SS, I'm not sure how dependable this would be.

graduated from Lexington High School. My brother had a part time job at Snow Trails. My dad worked at the Fisher Body GM plant in Mansfield. That was long, long ago. I haven't been back to Ohio in 30 years.

are down sizing now so there are lots of people for me to help with that.

I lived in Michigan most of my life and moved to Ohio about 10 years ago.
