I still haven't gotten very loose with my work, but I'm slowly understanding how watercolor works

Beautiful. Great colors working together. I have also started the journey into the endless possibilities and the flexibility of water color. My greatest problem is "noodling." I keep trying to fix what the paint wants to do. The "let it be" part of my brain is in rehab I think. My lesson seems to be-- let it spread and mingle.
