Not quite finished with this yet

Want to look at it awhile and make the needed changes tomorrow. 8x10 on UArt pastel paper 500 grit.

Link to my Pinterest, don’t know how to embed a photo, sorry. I’m trying to stay busy, helps with anxiety some.

I live along the coast, and I'm always thrilled when I see the marshes that deep, deep blue. You captured it perfectly.

It relieves anxiety for me, too. I get a little crazy with anxiety these days if I go too long without drawing or painting.

Not only as an artist but it becomes a global, “Ive always been a failure, always will be a failure, why am I here on earth, is it for punishment?”

This painting I don’t feel that sense of shame and failure so it’s a relief.

Honestly I don’t even know why I try to make art, it’s usually such a frustrating thing for me and leaves me so blue most of the time. But I feel compelled to keep trying anyway,

On facebook! She is one of the top pastel artists in the world, her work for example was used for the cover of last month’s Pastel Journal magazine.

I am leaving it as it is, if she likes it!

Wow, I am so thrilled and encouraged! Floating on air right now!

It’s beautiful and serene and your colors are deep and vibrant. It looks like the light you get at that hour of the evening when colors become vibrant, cool and serene, giving you one last look before converting the land into colorless dark shadow.

You’re an excellent painter and very talented. You have mastered the infinite variations of light in and on nature. Your paintings are whispery soft, making the viewer hush in order to experience the scene in it’s fullness. One can imagine the nature sounds of daytime beginning to become silent as the sounds of night creatures begin their calls.

Your paintings inspire. They bring forth the poet in people. Thank you so much for posting!
