I might start another one. It helps me when I get stuck on one painting to move to another for a while.

For me if I give a painting a rest for a few days or even a couple of weeks when I come back to it I see obvious things to improve.

But I currently have 5 knitting projects, 2 quilts in process, 1 sewing project in addition to face masks, plus reading 4 different books. Like you, it all depends on my mood. Or what absolutely has to be done - this week the masks for zoo keepers and LWR.

because, depending on your technique - for example, glazing - you will have to let the paint dry before painting another layer. Your painting might have to sit for several days or a week so you might as well work on something else in the meantime.

As I’ve noted in my critiques of your work, you have three distinct and totally different focuses in your art and they are as different from each other as they can be.

Maybe it makes you feel split into three beings inhabiting the same body. I can tell you from experience, that being an artist, one who is serious, means feeling like you’re being split and pulled and pushed internally by some slave driving force that you are unable to resist. Internally it can be a wild ride!

you caught a lot of shade if you didnt.
esp at this stage, for you, maybe you think about as many as you have room for.

or, maybe you should draw more.

I overwork because I don't want to put them down. I have to be careful, though, because taping up too many at a time means more tearing risks.
