Your Purple Hibiscus is a wonderfully rich and painterly piece where you allow the separate colors and the brushstrokes be the method of blending rather than blending the colors smoothly. This is what gives it such a wealth of textural feeling.

I also like your composition which you use to good effect. The Hibiscus is not entirely contained within the frame and you echo that with the angles of the green and white background, making the viewer feel closer to the flower and more intimate with the fabulous colors and rounded shapes. The eye travels along the lines and angles starting with the flower and then ending up with it again, giving the viewer a chance to fully absorb and appreciate the strokes and shapes and hues of the flower. Everything works, including the shapes in all the corners. Your work with color is outstanding. You really know how to use it to great effect.

Looking at is is like a celebration of delicious eye candy. Thank you for posting! Hopefully it shows that our present situation isn’t getting the better of us.
