(34,890 posts)you can make black with blue and umber and mix any green you need with other colors. Adding black to a color really dulls it.
I would ad Alizarin Crimson for a more intense red and violet. Pthalo blue is also good when you need a really strong blue.

(8,444 posts)Titanium white
Cadmium yellow light
Vermillion
Permanent alizarin crimson
Cerulean blue
Ultramarine Blue
I could stop right there but to get to ten I'd add:
Transparent red oxide
Burnt umber
Yellow ochre
Ivory black
I understand why some people wouldn't include a black in a limited palette, but with ivory black I can use an even more limited palette: the Zorn palette, just titanium white, yellow ochre, vermillion and ivory black, with ivory black working as the blue. The ivory black and yellow ochre make a nice olive green, too.
I work in oils.
