1. Last night I made some popcorn and watched "12 O'Clock High." I did enjoy the evening, but

war has always sucked was the inescapable conclusion. Humans pushing themselves to the limit to destroy...um....humans. Good film and cast though.

2. Never been a huge fan of war films myself.

Unless you count "Star Wars" as one. Seriously, military films aren't generally my big thing.

3. The TCM schedule was posted on DU and I checked it out."12 O'clock" was pretty good. Last night I

watched "From Here To Eternity." Wow, no idea why that film was/is so popular. Apparently our military pre-WW2 consisted mostly of drunkards and womanizers.
Actually, I enjoy the weekends when they have themes on the classic movie channels. I usually find something worthwhile, even if it is dated.
