Josh Bell is a fabulous violinist. I've met him a few times as he's friends with my friend and mentor, composer John Corigliano. John wrote the Academy Award winning score to The Red Violin and Josh played it on the soundtrack.

Josh is a very nice gentleman and he was very encouraging to my then 9-year old son who was studying the violin.

Thanks for sharing the link, elleng.

I think I heard Bell tell of his very early playing with his first 'violin' as a kid, a box fitted with rubber bands!
