Lucky you! Mahler's 9th is just amazing. I'm also a big fan of the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th, but the 9th is absolutely a spiritual experience.
BTW, do a search on Youtube for the 8th with Simon Rattle (BBC Proms). Great performance by a very young orchestra.

Mahlers 9th is like no other symphony ever written, even amongst Mahlers other great works. I love all of his symphonies, except the 8th, but theres no music on earth that sounds like the 9th.
