I'm originally from Ohio, but I have lived 11 years in Europe (10 years in France, 1 year in Germany/Austria). I have real-life experience with the French health care system and can explain it in detail.I am the former President of Health Care for All - Washington and served in that capacity for two years prior to becoming a candidate for Congress in 2010.I have presented at 69 events to promote single-payer, been invited to forum panels with congressional representatives, labor leaders, local doctors supporting SP, hospital superintendents, college professors, nurses, Washington State PNHP leaders and been on stage with Donna Smith and John Geyman, former President of PNHP and author of numerous books on SP. I've also been on a dozen radio and TV programs promoting SP.
Larry will be talking about the #1 health care system In the world: France. Hell explain how it works and what we might learn from their system. Well also talk about the single payer movement in the US and health care as a human right.
