Mark has a new album set to release April 19th.

January 31st an auction for 120 of Mark's guitars crashed Christie's auction website.

People from 61 countries were bidding on his guitars.

He donated 25% to charity.

He is an amazing song writer.

He is an amazing composer.

He is an amazing guitar player with a sound that is unique to him.

Great comments, he definitely deserves his place among the masters. I’ll be checking out that new album.

I can see the arguments for any of the other records, or how one of them touches anyone else's heart.

It's just that for me, Communique was the peak.

Two fender guitars played by brothers who had literally played together since childhood. Pick Withers was a great drummer (in studio) and Ilsley on the bass was really starting to stretch out.

Mark was still channeling his inner Dylan and would record "Slow Train Coming with Bob in this general time frame.

But Holy hell are there good songs there

This one might be my favorite DS song of all time.

thought I’d share my favorite track, but there is so much great music to choose from Mark and Dire Straits. As you can probably guess Alchemy Live is my favorite Dire Straits album, it also has my favorite version of Sultans of Swing so here’s one more.
