1. Thank you for posting these songs, by one of my favorite all-time musicians.

First of all, I almost missed your note at the end of your post, and it broke my heart. I don't know what to say, except I heard you.

I have been a fan of Patrice Rushen since I first discovered her as a jazz piano player. Many years ago I heard her play with the great bass player Buster Williams in Chicago. Her playing lit up the room all night. It was a small club, and I got up the courage to have a short conversation with her. Ms Rushen was as warm and engaging as you might imagine from hearing her music. I reached out to shake her hand when I approached her, and she kept hold during the entire conversation!

Anyhow, thanks again for posting this great music. I hope it continues to heal ... I'm sure Patrice Rushen would, too.

Love in relationships, friendships.
There are several people I have been 'given' after my husband reposed suddenly and unexpected 5 years ago.
We were married 46+ years.
Talk about a shock to your system.
This year I plan to perhaps gather these together, or at a minimum, see them personally and gift them a small ceramic vase holding a bouquet of Forget-Me-Nots. The vases were delivered today. I found some perfect bouquets online and will order them tomorrow. This gesture on my part simply 'fell into place'. Hebrew terms it 'beshert'.
Patrice's song actually was the catalyst.
