Seems they were opening for everybody back then. Blue Oyster Cult too. I have a special fondness for this song. It transports me to a much different world.

The NPR station in my area has taken to playing cool riffs from interesting places for their "filler" spots in between shows and one of them is the opening riff from "What You Gonna Do About Me?" which is one of the greatest of all time intros ever in the genre.

Before we have any fresh air in this neck o' the woods, each morning there's more smoke, the nearby mountains have become silhouettes and there be another tequila sunrise today, when that time gets here.

Love this song though.

I saw them in a small bar in the Santa Cruz mts. so many years ago, they were sublime!

Was not expecting a synth solo, though by 1975 nearly every keyboardist had at least access to one. Adds a very different element to the tune.
