Just got back to the hotel. Poured a drink (WT 101) and started pulling up guitar jams to mellow me out

Mel Brown, just a master craftsman. His second improvisational run (starting at ~4:50) is startlingly good.
Shockingly original phrasing and speed.
Effortless transitions between riffs showcasing his originality while still fully inside the framework of traditional electric blues.
Holy shit was he great

I first encountered this band back in the zeros, probably 07 or 08, busking in Soulard. Pokey LaFarge and the South City 3 had one of my favorite pickers I've ever been lucky enough to see live.
Adam Hoskins is his name, watch this and tell me I'm wrong (it's unfortunate that his face is covered by that mic in this vid).
Yes, the rest of the band is also 1st rate, but this is a guitar thread
