It lends itself well to acoustic, which makes sense as it was written on acoustic.
Fun fact: the chord changes are mostly identical to those used in ragtime. That G/Bbm/C (I/bVm/V)
of the main riff has Joplin written all over it.
The verses (I/V/VII/IV) that goes to the flat 6th, as well.
That transition over the "I feel it" lines is the divergence from ragtime.
But, that lead in to the chorus (bVI to VII) is a common prechorus in ragtime, too.
The bass player was a ragtime aficionado, so that's how it came about.
