Patti Page made history in 1950 when she recorded Tennessee Waltz 1st released by Pee Wee King & His Golden West Cowboys in 1948. Page turned the song into a multimillion seller with her version selling up to 10M copies making it the largest selling record released by a female artist in recording history.

The popularity of "Tennessee Waltz" made it the 4th official song of the state of Tennessee in 1965. Page's recording was inducted into Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998...
