🇮🇪 Riverdance is a theatrical show that consists mainly of traditional Irish music and dance. With a score composed by Bill Whelan, it originated as an interval act during the Eurovision Song Contest 1994, featuring Irish dancing champions Jean Butler, Michael Flatley and the vocal ensemble Anúna.

The performance was seen by 300 million viewers worldwide and earned a standing ovation. Riverdance was expanded into a stage show and as of 2023 continues to tour the world. 2. YW, this is one my fav live shows, saw it 3 times! Fantastic music, dancing

and production. All the performances I saw were w fabulous Jean Butler and outstanding dancer Colin Dunne whose style I prefer to Flatley. The first show was right after a 1st, brief visit to Dublin, I'd already heard how great Riverdance was and it really was impressive.
