So I know you know ALL of the good music. AIDS was a awful time for our community, scared me to death. I miss those gay days of the 80's. I had a fucking blast.

All from Europe, of course.
Culture Club, Bronski Beat, Pet Shop Boys, Wham!, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I knew about AIDS in the late 80s, but didn't really know about living in Omaha.

7. Yes, First Avenue was Prince's club downtown! Purple Rain filmed some scenes there.

Gay 90s turned into a tourist trap, especially for straight bachelorette parties, so I went dancing at the Saloon. The Eagle was good for cruising, and Metro and Trixx in St. Paul were also favorites.
