(3,838 posts)So I know you know ALL of the good music. AIDS was a awful time for our community, scared me to death. I miss those gay days of the 80's. I had a fucking blast.

Culture Club, Bronski Beat, Pet Shop Boys, Wham!, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I knew about AIDS in the late 80s, but didn't really know about living in Omaha.

(1,207 posts)Got a fake ID when I was a freshman in college, then I moved to Mpls after that and hit the clubs a lot is my 20s!
Not so much now anymore 😆

(3,838 posts)back in the late 80's, went to Prince's night club 1st avenue? and a gay bar called the Gay 90's I think. I loved Minneapolis.

(1,207 posts)Gay 90s turned into a tourist trap, especially for straight bachelorette parties, so I went dancing at the Saloon. The Eagle was good for cruising, and Metro and Trixx in St. Paul were also favorites.
