David Gilmour Will 'Absolutely Not' Perform With Roger Waters

David Gilmour has shut down any suggestions that he and his former Pink Floyd bandmate will perform together again.

In a new interview with The Guardian, Gilmour declared he would “absolutely not” perform with Waters ever again. Gilmour has previously stated as much, citing Waters’ political beliefs and controversial comments about Israel, Ukraine and the United States.

“I tend to steer clear of people who actively support genocidal and autocratic dictators like [president of Russia Vladimir] Putin and [president of Venezuela Nicolás] Maduro,” Gilmour told the publication. “Nothing would make me share a stage with someone who thinks such treatment of women and the LGBT community is OK. On the other hand, I’d love to be back on stage with [late Pink Floyd keyboardist] Rick Wright, who was one of the gentlest and most musically gifted people I’ve ever known.”

It sounds as if David Gilmour has far better things to accomplish these days than to associate with that creep.

To a German bomber. I'm pretty sure he was too young to remember him and his mother was most likely domineering and highly protective. He was a pacifist at first, and certainly had no love of the Orange Goblin, but lately...wtf, these are the same type of people who killed your father. I know many in the far left hate Western Imperialism, or what they think qualifies, but that doesn't justify anything that Russia has done the last 15 years at least.

And I must say he made a very convincing fascist in his last tour.

WTers has just completely gone bonkers politically
. That's alright by me, I'm more a Gilmour girl and really didn't have much concern about waters. I bought Gilmour albums never even looked at waters.

I had no idea how far out of the realm Waters had gone.
I'm happy David Gilmour publicly drew the line. Great person, amazing guitarist, and the sexiest dude back in the day.
