As I surf the web, or read a book, I hit play on my youtube, where I have saved over ,now 7000 tunes, I set on random, and songs pop up, that I have forgotten I had saved. The tune will lead me down a path to other tunes and viola!

(19,300 posts)It has a USB port to play MP3s on the front.
I put a couple thousand files from my huge personal CD library on them. Plug it in, hit random, and enjoy five or six hours of music I love.
Alternately, I often want to hear songs I don't own but should. Songs I wish I had and never heard before and great songs I have heard before.
For that I play internet radio. It gets me through 4 hour dialysis treatments.
One of the best is https://live.gamut.fm/listen/ . It's out of Washington, it's free, 24/7 with no commercials or registration, and no installed app. Wall to wall great music with no strings attached.
As the name implies The Gamut plays unpredictable songs from one end to the other and I hear songs by artists I know that I never knew existed. It broadens my horizon of music interest.
