Saw EW&F in concert in Richfield Colosseum , Ohio in '76 or '77. Wild Cherry opened, EW&S supported, Average White Band headlined. AWB made an album from the concert. I hadn't listened much to EW&F past AM car radio. What an eyeopener and just another example of my having unfounded opinions. They were as good as AWB and I truly love AWB. Just an amazing performance and a great concert.

When my wife & I were still in our early dating period, I had told her I was a musician & singer.
One date, we're driving to a club & "September" by EWF came on the radio.
I started singing it. When it got to the chorus, I sang that Phillip Bailey part effortlessly.
She said "Oh, you're actually a singer!" I knew at that moment that this was going to work out.
I never forgot that moment, and it happened 46 years ago
