I routinely perform this song. Just me and a 12 string. I've developed a cool, jazzy chord thing I do between the 2nd chorus and the third verse.
It's a really fun song to sing, especially with that ritardando after the "I want to know..." line. That was a great idea the Fogarty had! I exaggerate it a bit, because it seems right.
