A$AP Rocky found guilty of assault over Stockholm brawl

Wed 14 Aug 2019 13.11 BST

A Swedish court has found US rapper A$AP Rocky guilty of assault for his role in a street brawl in Stockholm. He was given a suspended sentence.

The artist, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, had pleaded self-defence and said he had tried to avoid a confrontation with two men who he said were persistently following his entourage. One of them picked a fight with one of Mayers’ bodyguards, the rapper told the Stockholm district court.

The 30-year-old rapper and his two bodyguards were released on 2 August pending the verdict. All three have returned to the United States and are not legally obliged to be present in Stockholm.

More details soon…

I don't see A$AP Rocky voluntarily returning to Sweden to accept his punishment and/or Trump turning him over to the Swedish government.

for aggravated assault and leaving an injured victim with the prospect of death. A suspended sentence is quite unusual.
