(735 posts)I have several albums of his extraordinary performances. I'll have to try to find this biography. I remember reading once that he has synesthesia, and his type causes him to experience sound as shapes. (I might be remembering the type of synesthesia incorrectly, will have to look it up.) He's been through a lot in his life and gives so much back to the community. He's an inspiration to us all. Thank you for the link!

I'm so impressed by this man!
I studied the viola in high school and the violin for a bit. The violin is a very challenging instrument to learn.
I hope you enjoy his biography as much as I did!

(735 posts)Gave me an appreciation for all he has been through, and the love he has for his family. Thank you for the glimpse into his life and an added aspect to the respect to what I already had for Itzhak Perlman. It was also nice to see some of the streets and neighborhoods in Israel. My husband, son and I lived there in 1995-1996 for a year for my husband's job. Lovely country and such interesting and kind people. Thank you so much. Now to listen to some Itzhak Perlman albums! Take care.
