Related: About this forumI wasn't going to take my camera to the Farmer's Market today . . . but I'm glad I did!
The sun was out for the first time in weeks, and there was so much interesting stuff to see.
I hope you'll enjoy seeing these as much as I did, taking them.

(152,455 posts)I'd thought I was posting these so late in the day that nobody would see them, much less comment!
I'm glad to be wrong.
And I'm even more glad that I took my camera and that you appreciate my efforts.

(24,087 posts)every Saturday and it makes me so happy! The vibes, the food and the positivity.
I look for posts like this. Glad you took the time to share with us.

(152,455 posts)It's too much for me to handle, honestly.
I like the smaller, quieter markets with convenient parking and so on.
I'm all about sharing! It's fun taking photos, but it loses something without sharing.
Even if it is late!

(38,224 posts)Were crazy exotic but when I looked at them I said I wonder if they will be mistaken for dill.
NOPE!

(152,455 posts)We do have so much to be grateful for, so much abundance. And we mostly take it for granted.
I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures. This is a fairly new camera and I'm still learning it. And I'm having such a great time with it!
I truly live in paradise, and I never forget how lucky I am.

(25,664 posts)The berries and flowers look particularly luscious.
I couldnt help but giggle at the carrots. Have you seen any of the ads for a treatment for something called Peyronies disease (its a problem for men whose erections are crooked). They use carrots to illustrate the disorder and if you put bent carrot in Google, it will takes you to the website. The problem isnt funny, but the ads unintentionally.
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,455 posts)Thank you for your lovely comments. I haven't seen the ads for Peyronie's disease, but I'm not surprised that they use carrots as props!
We've been using carrots for such demonstrations for a very long time. And you know any man who has this condition is an unhappy camper. Not a humorous situation at all.
The ads, on the other hand, most likely are.

(152,455 posts)It's a great thought, except that the competition for editors and publishers is fierce!
And there are so many super professional photographers out there too.
Yours is high praise and I'm honored by it.

(152,455 posts)Farmer's Markets are so much the same, so I'm always looking for new subjects and new ways of photographing them.
Sounds like I succeeded today!
Thank you too for the blessings.

(1,324 posts)The vegetables looked so delicious!😍
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,455 posts)The vegetables and everything else that's edible are always like that!
No pesticides or yucky stuff either. Fresh as can be and at reasonable prices.
I love shopping there!

(93,444 posts)The veggies are intriguing! The flowers are always wonderful. But the textures with those veggies!
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,455 posts)Yeah, the textures caught my eye too, and my Olympus camera does a great job of capturing them.
I couldn't get over how beautiful the flowers are.

(93,444 posts)I am a sucker for a pile of flowers! Looking through my catalogue of photos, probably something over a third to half of them are flowers. And I'm so in need of flowers that I just spent the last three weeks trashing my back so I will have flowers smothering my porch and areas around my home... because I have to have flowers.
Last year the deer ate everything but the nasturtiums so I planted more of those than I can count along with other stuff they don't like such as chives and lavender. Now it's just watering and a little weeding at times. And I an chill for a few days now that the planting is over.

(4,663 posts)For me, what a way to start the day! Everything looks so fresh and untouched by the natural wear of the day. Love it!

(152,455 posts)I aim for the colors and textures all the time. Don't want to be boring.
I'm glad I helped get your day off to a great start!

(15,022 posts)And I see there were an abundance of calla lilies!
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,455 posts)Those opportunities call to me and yesterday I really saw all of them.
I hadn't seen any calla lilies before, at this market. I was enthralled! They are so graceful.

(3,859 posts)It's an old memory (1940's) and I wasn't sure of the name, but after researching I found it.....calla lily! My mother had them planted along the side of our house and I always liked to look at them because they were in a long row and so pretty.
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,455 posts)Their graceful shape really makes their beauty overwhelming. I love them, and hadn't seen any at this market before.
I kept taking photo after photo!

You do find some beautiful colors and shapes among all the wares! Im so glad you took your camera! Did you buy any strawberries
they look so delicious. Thank you for sharing!
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,455 posts)Yeah, I was feeling more adventurous that day and thought some other POV's would be a good idea.
I was also looking more diligently for different colors and shapes too. Don't want to bore anyone!
Yeah, the strawberries did look good, but I didn't buy any. I wanted blackberries, blueberries and raspberries!
And you know how I am about sharing.
