This little pottery figure was a wedding present to me from one of my dearest friends from childhood. She had married before I did, and promptly spent the early years being pregnant!

I think she was expecting her third child when my marriage happened and it was an emotional time for her.
Basically, that's how I know!

is it an older piece? I really like it! My daughter is an antique dealer and she has collected a trove of early Native American pieces that this figure reminds me of.

I sure do know lots about this figure! She's not ancient. She was a wedding gift from a very close childhood friend of mine.

At the time my girlfriend created her, she was expecting her 3rd child and was pretty uncomfortable, since her children all arrived pretty close together. So pregnancy was on her mind, you could say!

I really appreciate your critique. She's been sitting on my kitchen window sill since we moved into this house, 21 years ago.

And just today, since our wedding anniversary is next week, it occurred to me that my little figure would make a cool photo. I used my light box which is a lot of fun.

How about that?
