Into the woods...

I don’t know how I lived here almost thirty years without knowing there was a small rainforest about a five minute drive away. Maybe because it was hidden behind an upscale housing development, but it was only about a week ago that I discovered it was now designated a county park, and had trails running through it. In honor of #ForestFriday (which is something that may or may not exist but, if the latter, I just created it), here is a record of my first couple of hikes through only a small part of it.

The light is exceptionally beautiful. The path makes me wish I were there, walking carefully along it. And the trees and ferns are amazing.

I hope you'll take us through here again, or wherever you choose.

Thank you!

TY for sharing these beautiful photos.
I wonder how much of this green paradise was cut down to build the upscale houses.

I've hiked and backpacked the Olympic Peninsula. It was my favorite trip of all time. Hiking the Hoh Valley was beautiful.
