I have a bazzilion slides to copy. A friend lent me his under a hundred dollar scanner and the results we less than satisfactory. Getting a huge number done comes in pretty steep. So I threw down for the Epson V600. Turns out to be much cheaper than paying to have scans done for the number that I have. I might need another terrabiyte drive...
Did a couple of tests with some old pictures to check the operation. Slides next and perhaps I'll delve into the manual to see if I can tweek how this thing works.
My mother from 1946.

(152,070 posts)I admire your tenacity in copying the slides. I too have many many photos, but when I look at them, I consider how tedious scanning all of them would be.
So they sit, and I get older.

(4,644 posts)I coppied a bunch before we came back here. But with now real way to see them any more. I sold off my projector since it would be of no use here in Europe without a transformer for the voltage. This seems to be the best method.

(18,641 posts)She reminds me of my mom back then. Same super thick dark hair, almost the same exact hairstyle. But I don't think she was ever bold enough to wear a 2 piece swimsuit (although that one is quite modest by today's standards).

(13,782 posts)Keep us posted. I have great slides to scan. Demand the best scanning I can do. Stuck with an old Perfection 2450 that still runs even if it seems that every computer store of its time is defunct.
Very interested in a new Epson.
Thx for posting.
