Scanning at 3 different dpi

As promissed. Here is one image from a transparency. This was Fuji RDP.

Brickwall and broken downspout, Toulouse, circa 2009.
First image is frm 300 dpi, second from 600 dpi, third 1200 dpi, scanner max for 35 mm transparencies.
No other processing software used jsut raw scans posted to Flikr.
Posted to DU as Medium 416 x 640.

to my laptop monitor the biggest fifference seems to be contrast. Small dpi with a higher contrast. For online sharing I see no real difference once the image hits the DU site and no difference on the Flikr site.
It would seem to be a waste of time to scan at more than 300 dpi for web publishing.

Later I will try some printing out to see what the higher resolutions give me. If you want to go to 8X10 adn beyond it might be better to scan at higher res.

Rotating the photo 180 degrees presents the same tranquil scene.
