(14,559 posts)Just enough detail in the black velvet to identify it, subtle reflections in the silver and beautiful saturation in the colors.

(25,433 posts)The earrings are made as mirror images. Are they inlaid stone, or ceramic, or painted?
You can always tell mass produced earrings, even good ones, because they will face the same way on the display card, which means one will be backwards when you put the in your ears.
Are these pretty earrings yours?
I always enjoy your photographs.

(152,070 posts)I believe they're painted, but truly, I'm not sure.
And yes, they are mine. I saw them advertised on Facebook. They come from Australia. The company's name is Silk Road Art, and their website is silkroadart.com.au. Their work is inspired by Persian Art, but not this piece, I think!
I love the modern look as well as the exotic.
Thank you again for your detailed and informative remarks!

(13,394 posts)He had a studio in lower Manhattan where he would work and rent out a fully equipped space to other professional photogs. Some would give him prints of their work. His favorite possession was an early print of the staged photograph by Ruth Orrin, "American Girl in Italy."
I miss Rick.
