A few photos taken with my new (used) lens

I've bought a used Canon EF-S 15-85mm lens to replace my 18-55mm kit lens. The following shots were taken Saturday at sunset. Looking at the images on my laptop I was surprised to see an airplane, unnoticed when I looked through the viewfinder to compose the shot. Enlarge the first pic and you'll be able to see the plane's engines.

Such bright, clear images … and the discovery of the airplane is a cool bonus!

One of the great things about Canon is the abundance of used glass. I usually purchase mine through KEH, but there are other places to get good deals. My favorites are an ef-s 10-18, ef 17-40 and a EF 50 f1.4.

I haven't used it much yet, but I expect good things from it. It reminds me of my early days in photography when that was the only lens I had.
