They really cannot capture the moon yet, but someday they might.

The black and white on the second photo came about because the sun was gone and the sky was much darker as a result. Those conditions make it much easier to get the high contrast that you see.

I too love the contrast in #2. That's easier to get when the sky's dark.

FB tends to show photos slightly smaller than DU does. That's just how it is.
