Size matters . . .

I just dropped another $grand on an 8-25 pro for my OM. I've had the 7-14 legacy from the older E-series with an adapter but it's about twice the size of the 8-25. The old lens is super sharp and works great with the later EM bodies (need to have both contrast and phase detect auto-focus) and I've enjoyed it but I'm packing light for a trip and just need to shed the weight and size.

Anybody shooting 4/3 or M4/3 I know where you can get an ultra wide for cheap.

*sigh* I'm hopeless . . .

Now we will all patiently wait to view your photos.

I hear you about traveling light. Several of my lenses are very heavy. I'm down to one lens when I go on vacation, unless it's a road trip of course.

8-25, 12-100, 40-150 w 1.4x and the 60mm macro. That's full frame equiv of 16-420mm. Throw in a wee flash and a few other small items and the bag weighs just under 9 pounds. I've seen women's handbags this big--admittedly rarely but still .

I've messed up my right rotator cuff so I can't carry the whole kit that weighs in at 30 pounds. There's no extra space in the small bag, I mean NO extra space and long term use will prbobably stress the seams but for my dog walking exercises along the lake's beach I can carry the long telephoto and macro comfortably. I never seem to have the right lens for what pops up . . .
