(3,706 posts)We're in our early 70s.
They already went and lived there for 3 months, loved it, they claim they can get great medical care, etc.
They're moving from a very nice place in San Diego.
There are several YouTube channels with people from USA living there now.
They say they can live as well as here with absolutely no money worries, and my cousin is a very thoughtful and always well researched engineer type.
They want me to come but I have had 2 stents in my heart plus ruptured L4-L5 with titanium implant in the last 12 months, I'm staying close to my doctors for a while

I've known a few wildlife types that do most of the sweeping scenic stuff with their phone.

(14,559 posts)yeah, they fall short. But if you take into account viewing distance it's a whole different game. A few years back Apple decorated the sides of 3 story buildings with iPhone images. Looked great from the freeway. I decorated a bedroom with 13x19 prints from a Galaxy S5 And with a viewing distance of 5-6 feet even I couldn't tell the difference between my 4x5 stuff and the S5.
I'm not crazy about all the computer aided auto post processing on a lot of subjects but for sweeping scenics from Val Calderas in NM it was very satisfactory.
Photography is the only art form that has to pass the smell test . . . if you can't smell the printer ink you're not close enough to judge the image quality
