Yup, the first one is brighter. I may have messed with the color . . .

Of course, you can ask! HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. The camera varies the exposure over a series of 4 shots and combines them into a single image.

These were not ideal for this application as there wasn't enough variety in the photos. Not enough sun and shade, for example.
I do have things to learn!

8. HDR is fun.

That's what got me back into photography in a big way about seven years ago. I could never understand why my skies were always washed out with digital photography. Finally a friend turned me onto Snapseed and HDR.
