Some photos that I might have lost - But thanks to Old Crank and a scanner, I have recovered

All the pictures here were made from around 1975-1979 in England, using a Praktica LTL3 with a Pentacon 1.8 50mm lens on either Ilford or Kodak film.

Nice work. Old Crank Aug 2023 #1
That scanner actually cuts the workflow, because it happily changes colour negs to B&W positives GoneOffShore Aug 2023 #3
I don't think you lost anything in converting to grayscale. erronis Aug 2023 #4

All the pictures here though were done in b&w.

The tones show through each one of your pictures. Sometimes color distracts.

I like b&w because it concentrates the image.

Doing Instagram has changed the way I make photos. And I like the square format. Probably because my first camera was a Sears & Roebuck 120 that looked like a Rolliflex but was made of plastic.

Don't remember the model but it didn't have a built-in light meter so I had to spend several months' earnings to get one.

So many cameras in the interim. My father's Leicas with film still inside (unprocessable after 30 years). Old Polaroids, Kodaks, probably 5-10 point-and-shoot and many varieties of newer digitals.

Still, it's just taking the picture at the right time with a decent composition.
