The clouds were not cooperating tonight, but I did manage to get a few decent shots.

And the mistiness.

I haven’t seen this bridge in a long, long time, so I gasped when I saw it in this picture. It’s so magnificent.

The little pinpoints of red lights tie the photograph together.

When you think about it, there really are very few bridges that are extremely well known outside the region where they're located. Off the top of my head, I can only think of 3: the Golden Gate Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Tower Bridge in London.

I never heard of this bridge before and had to Google to find out that it crosses Los Angeles Harbor and connects Terminal Island at the Port of Los Angeles with San Pedro and the 110 Freeway. I'm enough of a geography nerd to appreciate the geography lesson, and I can definitely see why it would be fun to photograph.

And speaking of photographs, those are stunning shots. My favorite is the uncropped version, just because I love the contrast between the dark sky with its mysterious, mist shrouded moon and the bright lights of the busy industrial (I presume) area below. Great composition!
