I have found that taking it to teh extremes of range helps me find my happy spot with a certain camera or lens. I look at the manual when I get a new one and then I lose it somewhere in a box. I don't recall using that size lens so I'm not sure of its intended purpose.

Those are good shots even if I'm not sure what you were after.

The first two were easy. And then the old habits came back and I'm photographing the 'normal' stuff.

I'll keep at it.

I like the last three for patterns, a little sharpening or contrast or something and they would stand out more, I think. Maybe a lit more stark lighting on the green ones. You chose good subjects, you'll find more. You're off to a good start!

When I'm out in the field, I'm concentrating on good focusing, proper lighting and composition.

It's difficult to juggle other considerations at such a time!

However, I am capable of learning.

I also like the abstract quality of the next to last one, of the green leaves with the ruffled edges (not sure what vegetable that is).

I was really looking for patterns, but that photo was not really part of the theme.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. (I don't know what vegetable it is, either!)

I agree with you about looking at our patterns and hopefully tuning it for the better.
Keep it up CP, you're doing good

Practicing these new themes takes time for my mind to make 'em work.

I'll get there.
