5. It's dark because this is straight out of the camera.

The filter needed to photograph the sun is so dark it makes the sky look black.

Perfect filter to choose for this shot. What was the exposure? Take it from a guy who had several published.

21. I'll had to check the meta data.

It was f/5.6, 1/100th , iso 100 and a Lee solar filter equal to a ND20. I used a crop sensor camera with a 55-250mm zoomed in and did some cropping. Never having shot a solar eclipse before, (several lunar eclipses, but never a solar), I was weary about using my newer, more expensive cameras.
