I am not sure this will work as a posted image but I live near the Pololu Valley and try to hike down there when ever I can.

(152,080 posts)I can easily see why you'd want to hike there. So beautiful.
I guess you must have found a site that you can use to host your photo prior to posting it here. One good tip that will increase your success rate at posting photos on DU: Always Preview before you Post!
That way, if there's a problem, you'll know before you post, and you can fix it prior to posting!
Welcome to the Photo Group!

Thanks again and yes I read that thread earlier and had to do some digging to find the URL's of my images that I mostly have in a gallery. I have been so 'beaten' down' lately with so much of what is in the news that I often find inner refuge in photography, both enjoying others' work and taking my own. I don't have much that could be considered 'political' which I would like to post, I mostly have landscape and wildlife. Thanks again for your help. I think I'll post more at some point, not that I have found out how to copy the URL to the image.

(6,341 posts)He used to be a fairly well known singer and musician there. I have always wanted to visit the place. Being from the Outer Banks myself, we used to trade stories about growing up in that environment.

It's a very special place. We have lived on the Big Island for 12 years and love it. I'm retired now, I used to work for the University of Hawaii (on their research ships) but having spent a fair amount of time in Honolulu we knew we did not want to live there although it is a wonderful city, having said that Oahu has some great beaches that are not too far from Honolulu. Thanks for the thoughts.
