Film development in the DFW area?

Am getting back into photography after retirement.
Any recommendations on anyone for 120 B&W and 35mm film development in the DFW area? Prefer a shop that I can walk into and browse to see if there are any deals to be picked up.

If no good recommendations, who is recommended for mail order film development?

that is a photographer in the DFW area…I bet he knows.

Also, there is a large and long-established camera store (Fort Worth Camera) right near Camp Bowie and Montgomery in Fort Worth…and that is walking distance to the Kimball, Modern, and Amon Carter Museums if you wanted to spend a little extra time in the area.

But digital is so much cheaper and more convenient. I live in Kansas. A few years ago I discovered that Walgreens would take your film and have it developed off site. I wish you the best in your search. Have you found that film is hard if not impossible to come by? I’m itching to break out my Minolta X-700 and head to the great outdoors. Digital has made me lazy.

You could drop him a PM and ask him directly, or wait until he sees your post.

I found a couple of options. I cannot speak for either of them because when I went digital I went DIGITAL. Since you plan to do B&W it's easy enough to set up an at home lab. Ft Worth Camera can fix you up with the bits and pieces. I maintained a darkroom in my home for years. There are advantages! If you want to mess around with the Zone system you can do that with 35mm, it just takes some record keeping.

Have fun!
