I normally shoot landscape at f16-22, but being in a kayak with windy conditions that was not possible. I shot most of the scenes in this wetlands spot wide open (f2.8-ish) with ISO at 3200+. I shot this particular scene with the center focus very soft, but sharper outside the center. In post-processing I darkened and softened the center even more to add some depth in an otherwise flat looking swamp scene.

I know a bit more about this sort of thing these days, so I can understand what you're saying.

Well done! The work itself and your explanation to me!

I need to take a nice long time to absorb the context and the content. Otherwise said, just let myself get immersed in what you are presenting.

You have very good skills in observation - I wonder if they were honed while flying. Some of us (me) are so focused on the ground in front and not looking outward.
