The north side of the mountain is where the eruption flattened everything. The south side is very much like it never happened. The Lewis River runs in the valley behind it.

There are lots of Lewis Rivers, probably even within WA. I used to live in Vancouver, WA but had never seen this site. Im going to have to track this place down.
