-In Part 2 we explored Vancouver Island by rental car, ferry & tour train
-In Part 3 we journeyed south from Vancouver aboard Amtrak's "Cascades" to Seattle
-And here in Part 4 we travel east from Seattle aboard Amtrak's "Empire Builder" to Chicago & "Lakeshore Limited" to Buffalo

mom and i rode this train several times . once we got off at glacier np and enjoyed it.

Me and my boyfriend first class in the room and everything, we had stopped in Seattle on the way back from our salmon fishing in Alaska with a lot of money and made even more money at the racetrack, so took the train first class it was great

in first class , very swanky. seperate diner car and obs lounge for first class at the time .

my first real train trip was from mexicalli to mex city on the old ndm in 1969. what fun.

(23,056 posts)3. in the old days the old cascade service and the desert wind service would meet up w the ca zypher in salt lake city and
thence to chicago . now its more a international commuter service and expanding.
