So not including the guitar, there's more than $2,000 of equipment
AT USED PRICES...
All the guitarists I know had to have a "Minor" in electronics.
I myself have built multiple effects boxes from scratch and from kits...

Anytime you create something, that first step is the hardest. I know from my own experience in photography and in writing.
