Related: About this forumBon Iver!
Northern Exposure fans will likely remember that "Bon Iver!" (bone-ee-VARE) is the greeting used when the first snow of the season arrives in the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska. ("First Snow" is one of my favorite NE episodes.) It's also the name of a band. "Bon Iver" sounds French, no?, but it's a play on the French phrase bon hiver, meaning "good winter."
I took the photo the day after Christmas 2013.
