We drove to Wilmington, Delaware for a funeral this past weekend. 7 hour drive from NE Ohio and we went through your area It was indeed a gorgeous balmy day yesterday, like you said. We were on Rts. 283 and 30. I remember that it did rain in the afternoon. Loved seeing the Susquehanna River earlier. The mountains are stunning as well. When we got back to Ohio it was in the 50s.

(5,141 posts)The junction of 30 and 283 is only a few miles northwest of Lancaster City. If you're ever that close again you might want take a rest from the highway and spend a couple of hours exploring Lancaster. The city is 300 years old and steeped in local and national history; has great restaurants, theaters, museums, parks and music venues; and hundreds of gorgeous 19th century and older homes.
