These birds are passing through on their way to breeding grounds in New England and Canada. I've seen and photographed three today.
I live in the Atlantic Flyway, a major north-south flyway for migratory birds. For the next few weeks I'll be looking for and trying to photograph springtime migratory birds in my backyard in Lancaster, PA, and also west of here along the Susquehanna River.

(34,615 posts)But it seems like youre a month ahead of us season-wise! Were covering up our lilac bushes because of a frost advisory tonight. They havent flowered yet but the buds look ready to open in a few weeks.
I will enjoy the birds and the greenery in your posts for the time being.

(5,138 posts)The city is a 'heat island' because of the paving and we often don't get frost when just outside of the city it frosts. There was another frost advisory two days ago but my yard was frost-free.
Thanks!
