Monophonics reminds of another great San Francisco Bay Area band, The Sons of Champlin. The band kicked off the summer concert series at Lancaster's Long's Park tonight. Monophonics' original songs and lead singer/keyboardist Kelly Finnigan's performance were splendid.

(5,288 posts)Finnigan doesn't sound or write like Bill Champlin, but the band's live performance here Sunday night, the horns and the overall vibe reminded me of SOC. I've not yet listened to any of Monophonics' studio recordings.

and the Sons of course. I never liked the Dead all that much though he did.
Growing up in the SF Bay Area presented a lot of entertaining opportunities.
What focal length of lens were you using on the blue dragonfly? They usually take off when I get close.
