Scene on the street today

Last edited Mon Sep 16, 2024, 11:25 PM - Edit history (1)

I took the camera for a walk around Lancaster City this morning. Mondays are slow but there were plenty of subjects to photograph.

And the people always seem happy. I was noticing the thermometer..it was close to 90* here today but I could certainly enjoy cooler weather for a while. 🤗

After this summer's heat waves, I'm really enjoying temps in 70s.

You made excellent use of reflections in many of these! And of course, the grand art deco buildings and windows too.

I suspect you left out quite a few of other worthy subjects! The town is just chock-a-block full of beauty!

Yours truly is reflected in the first photo. Yes, there were many more that could have been used, and many I might've posted as stand alones. There's a lot to digest. I hope that isn't discouraging people from taking a look.

Thanks!

I enjoyed these a lot. Cities are interesting places. Even a street sweeper provides something to see and marvel at. I wish everyone would just relax and open their minds to what they see around them and appreciate diversity the way you do instead of always being angry and judgemental.

Oh, and those cupcakes look to die for!

One doesn't have to travel far from home to find great beauty and signs of human kindness.

I can confirm that the cupcakes are to die for! I've savored many of the shop's decadent delights over the years.

Tomorrow's my honey's birthday and I'm making dinner. I bought two of the apple cider donut cupcakes in lieu of a birthday cake.

Thanks!
